Welcome to Bunger!
This is my personal server where I host and test a bunch of things! The main action revolves around game servers, such as Half-Life Deathmatch (HL2 also) and Garry’s Mod.
Some game servers started as a hangout for mates over short bursts, but I decided to keep them running so others could jump in and do whatever... and to have a good time!

Originally, this server started as a barebones setup on a media focused PC I had customised. XAMPP was at the core hosting only HTTP and MySQL, for small projects and testing.
Later on, from time-to-time I would boot up Minecraft with some dudes, HL Rally, and even Jazztronauts (GMod) where I would be at my desk the entirety of summer... (i dont recommend this)
Eventually I had considered this server's potential energy footprint, and later migrated the server to a 2014 Mac Mini... running Windows 11... and this worked great! (for a while, well, fine enough...)
Some time passed and issues popped up. I discovered that if the Mac had been running for a prolonged time, it's CPU would underclock. Looking into it more proved it was an isolated issue... running Windows for long periods... (wow!)
This is when I decided to move everything to "new" hardware, with better and "snappier" specs, and to run everything under Linux.
(seriously using Windows for hosting server stuff is such a mistake)

I'm not here to shadowdrop some massive "LOOK at ME" blurb like it's a public resume or some kind of portfolio, and DEFINITELY none of that weeb-themed "oh wow i can 'code' and host a website!" trash you see everywhere linked to some thigh-high sock wearer's Discord profile.

Really though, I'm just a dude who keeps this place ticking for fun and bungers!
